30 years of supporting the growth of healthy communities within Curry County.

Curry Health Foundation partners with health-related nonprofits that need funding to support health, wellness, and safety programs in Curry County.
We are committed to improving important projects these programs pursue for wellness of Curry County residents.
Curry Health Foundation was incorporated in 1995 by dedicated community members who volunteered their time and skills to create a charitable 501 (c )(3) nonprofit organization. Throughout the years, CHF has successfully impacted Curry County with over $1million dollars in funding for important medical, wellness, and safety equipment, programs & projects.
WHO IS INVOLVED?
Many community members have served on the CHF Board of Directors including doctors, lawyers, nurses, ambulance personnel, teachers, business owners, non-profit leaders, and retirees. These individuals work together to create a foundation with a sustainable vision.
WHAT IMPACT DO CHF GRANTS PROVIDE?
Curry Health Foundation grants provide opportunities for non-profits to resource activities driving growth of healthy communities in Curry County. The average annual amount of the CHF budget allocated to grants is approximately $30K. Additional funds have been granted as needed for critical needs and large expenses such as a mammogram imaging tool, etc. Generally, we support these large expenses with a combination of community donations and fundraising campaigns. Over $1million in grants have been provided by Curry Health Foundation over the years. These funds supported important programs, equipment purchases, hospital needs, safety equipment for First Responders and other community needs.
FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP
A vital role of managing a charitable 501 (c )(3) nonprofit organization is ensuring the proper use of funds and donations. The CHF Board of Directors takes this responsibility seriously and embraces transparency of our financial records. In addition to our operating funds, we have fiscally sound investments managed by reputable financial institutions. We keep our administrative and operating expenses to a minimum by limiting our staff to one part-time employee. Our working board resources their skills and time to cover many of the administrative and organizational needs.
GOVERNING BODY
Curry Health Foundation is governed by an independent, self-perpetuating, working Board of Directors. Members of our board are community and business leaders who bring a variety of experiences and skill sets.
Volunteers are always welcomed for specific needs.
